Full Program LISTEN TO FULL PROGRAM   Part 1 We begin with Kristen Christian who is a 27 year old art gallery owner and entrepreneur who created and started the “Bank Transfer Day’ consumer activist movement that calls for a voluntary switch of accounts from big commercial banks to not-for-profit local credit unions. Part 2 Then we speak with William K Black, the former chief prosecutor for the Savings & Loan disaster of the 1980’s. He is the author of “ The Best Way to Rob a Bank is to Own One” and we talk about the “Bank Transfer Day” movement and, since Bill Black spoke Saturday to Occupy LA on the steps of City Hall, we ask him how the occupy movement could break the power of the big banks and bring about financial democracy.   Part 3 Then we get an analysis of the Cold War between Iran and the United States that is heating up in advance of a report by the IAEA coming out next week that is expected to increase calls from hawks in Israel and the U.S. for a military strike against Iran’s nuclear program. Professor Nader Hashemi joins us. He is the author of “The People Reloaded; The Green Movement and the Struggle for Iran’s Future”. We  discuss the covert war underway and what measures short of all-out war might bring down the Iranian regime.
